Karnataka Elections - JD (S) workers distribute fake money

JD (S) workers had distributed fake currency at Goragondanahalli village in Tiptur taluk of Tumkur

Gullible voters had been distributed four notes each of Rs 50 denomination on the eve of the first phase of polling in Karnataka.

Most menfolk quickly made good use of the ill-gotten wealth, but some women and Streeshakti groups decided to deposit the money in banks. To their horror, they realised that the notes were all fake.
