YSR fails to get more Cabinet berths for Andhra
Congress and Sonia have failed to acknowledge Andhra Pradesh's role in government formation by insulting the state with one cabinet berth.
YSR - the Congress strongman of Andhra is contended with his Chief Ministership and failed to bargain for more seats
With regional parties with less number of seats (NCP, DMK, TMC) getting a lion share in Cabinet, it is sad that the state congress with 33 MPs is treated shabily by Rahul and Sonia

Manmohan Leads UPA to Victory
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh led Congress party to a resounding victory in Parliament Elections
He led the party to close to 200 seats - for the first time after two decades.
Though credit can be given to Rahul, Mamatha and Karunanidhi for the impressive show - the hero undoubtedly is Mr Manmohan Singh.
As we close this election blog, let us wish Mr Singh a successful second term!

Party time for Regional Parties
It is party time for regional parties - they have three choices - anti-Hindu Congress, hindutva BJP and the communist third alliance.
Many places people would have voted them against the party they might align with. For example, Communists get 'anti-Congress' vote, BSP and SP get 'anti-Congress' and 'anti-BJP' votes so is NCP. But these players can switch sides. Afterall the elections are over and they are the kings. It will take another five years for 'aam-admi' to be the king

Congress party will be lucky if it touches 100 seats - Intelligence Bureau assessment
Congress party to get 100 Seats in coming Loksabha
The bureaucracy, whose network is nationwide, appears to have understood this. The one branch of government which has a presence throughout India is the Intelligence Bureau, and the IB is rumoured to have assessed that the Congress party will be lucky if it touches 100 seats.
Congress will end-up in single digit figures in Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka where it previously expected a total of 100 seats
The party is already gearing up for projecting Rahul Gandhi as the leader of opposition.
