BJP can win some seats in Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu’s Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) is used to piggy-ride on the Dravidian parties to win some seats. This election it can win some it has bright chance of winning anywhere between three and eight loksabha seats from the state and Kerala
The favourable seats are:
1. Thiruvananthapuram
2. Kasargod
3. Kanyakumari
4. Tirunelveli
5. Tenkasi
6.
7. Chennai South
8. Pudukkotai
The party has alliances with Sarath Kumar’s party and few smaller parties in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. If it wins few seats, it will be a morale booster for the national party.

ReplyDeleteSouth Chennai was a DMK hub before delimination, not now. That's why T.R.Balu shifted his constituency to Sriperamadur. So, there is a hope.
Pudukkottai cease to exist as a constituency now.
Tenkasi, Coimbatore and Tirunelveli it can make its presence. That's all.

ReplyDeleteSurely Vijaykant's DMDK will win atleast four seats in Tamil Nadu. No way for BJP. UPA will tally ten to twelve seats, AIDMK Aliance will 24 to 26 seats. Vijay kant has swing over minorities.
ReplyDeleteVijaykant has a good future ahead in 2011 TN Assembly Election. Down trend for DMK.But in this election DMDK may win five to seven seat including Vellore. Because he has better candidates than others.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, this time Mulim votes will swing towards Vijaykant's DMDK as he has given three seats for Muslims. As Neither DMK nor AIADMK has given single seat for Muslim. Only one from DMK Alliance that's too for Muslim League not for DMK Candidate. Minority has fear towards AIADMK may join BJP after poll Alliances they will not cast a single vote towards AIADMK Aliance.

The BJP does appear to be in a position to win Kanyakumari considering that his opponents are Helen Davidson(DMK) a Catholic, Bellaramin(CPIM) again a Catholic, ex-MGRDMK MLA Austin(DMDK) a protestant and Sivakami(BSP) a dalit from the IAS Cadre. Kanyakumari has about 60% christain population with a majority of them protestants. With the Congress miffed at the seat not being given to their party in particualar to Dr. Kumaradass they are likely to support the DMDK. Traditionally the BJP has a good base among the Nadars and the Fishermen community. Withn Sarath Kumar adding strenth the BJP can hope to win this seat in a 5 cornered contest.
ReplyDeleteThirunavvakarasar at Ramanathapuramis a strong candidate with a good image and lots of goodwill locally. With Karthik and Sarathkumar on the BJP alliance he can also hope to do well.
Apart from these two the alliance can hope to get over 10% votes in about 5% or 6% constituencies.
As regards Tenkasi the BJP has a fairly decent base there but with Puthiya Thammizhagam having an alliance with Manithneya Makkal Katchi a Muslim party it may be difficult for the BJP to support Dr.Krishansamy.Thus said Dr. Krishnasamy is no push over and with MMK supporting him he must be considered as apotential winner.
The DMDK will definitely do well in terms of votes and may also capture a couple of seats. I am optimistic of the DMDK gettinmg close to 20% of the total vote. The BJP alliance may get around 10% of the toatal vote and with independents and others may get another 6%. That will leave only 64% of the vote for the main two alliances. So this could be anybody's game.

ReplyDeleteIf we keep cast and community a side. Thinking for the better rule in the state. My personal opinion is TDP Should form the government. I feel each voter in AP as the same feeling while they were voting. So better chance for the TDP to form the government without any support……… by getting sufficient seats.
