There is a dog fight going on between the Vijaywada-Guntur leaders and Vizag leaders on choosing the capital of new andhra pradesh.
With no unity between Vijayawada and Guntur leaders, the Vijayawada-Guntur is pitching for any capital other than Vizag ... most probably that is the reason they want Hyderabad to be as capital of Andra too
On the other hand, the Vizag lobby wants Vishakapatnam to be the capital of the parent state. Vizag, they feel, has all the credit to be the capital

We have 3 universities, 5 Navaratna Companies like HPCL, SAIL,NTPC,BHEL-BHPV,GAIL. Vizag has 2 nd biggest port in India. Its having biggest shipyard of india, HQ for eastern naval command. People who says vizag not having govt lands please check. APSEZ it self having 3000 acres vacant land. Its enough to build 10 assembly, Secretariat building. Vizag already have international airport and other felicities so doesn't more land than this. As more industries not coming there govt already planned to take back this land. Apart from this so much of non cultivated land availble. If still people says vizag has no land then we cannot say any thing.

After all their greedy policies not to share a single drop of water to any body else even at the cost of wasting thousands of TMC feet into sea every year is the main reason for separatist tendencies all over the state. vizag and vijayawada r already developed.Got to choose an underdeveloped area and dryland which is not suitable for agriculture.Thats how the state develops and country develops.see most of developed countries have small towns as capitals to develop area and not to make crowded in one place.Now the big problem for separation is hyderabad(too much development)

ReplyDeleteTirupathi should be the new capital. It has universities, lots of govt land available, TTD has interest and funds to develop tirupati, has international airport. With fantastic connectivity to bangalore and chennai, the new capital can be a part of a tr-city with high growth. Nellore would also be ideal for new capital. My point is that the new capital should be a small city with scope for development. And center govt should allocate atleast 1 lakh crores for developing the new capital. Andhra people have spent so money and energy to develop hyderabad - so central govt should give enough money to develop our new capital.
ReplyDeleteVijayawada is next capital of andhra pradesh. its a business capital and ther is precious space between vijayawada and guntur to develop world class new city and it has airport to develop as international airport, and it has asia biggest railway satation connecting with all major cities and biggest bustand, IT is draw back but its easy to develop it in vijayawada if its become capital because ther is IT hub but not developed and machilipatnam and krishnapatnam ports also near to vijayawada.... its middle between vizag and tirupathi so in the future no separate issues arises as in VIZAG HAVE SEPARATE UTTARANDRA UDHYAM, so vizag have the issue that separate in future may be but not vijayawada separate and ther is no water problem as major cities have problem...... vijayawada politically and agriculture and rich city can develop easily in short period........... so vijayawada always better choice for the next capital if telangana separate

Vijayawada or Vijag are having some development happened there and with some more funds more development can be done. now, going to vijayawada or vijag, again it should not happen of same mistake of developing one city and later other side of state will be in underdeveloped status. with huge funds all cities should be developed but which city as capital would give more benifit to most of the people in the state needs to be considered.

ReplyDeleteIf vizag becomes capital. All the orissa state and bihar labour will use all the opportunities and if a karnool labor should travel it will take 1200 kms. In the same way, if nellore/ongole becomes capital, you see som many tamil labour using up te opportunities and vizag people cannot travel. We are left with a narrow and long land after separation. For us to have the better access to our native a center location vijayawada and guntur should be capital. Let us build a new new york city as new capital. Ok. We first developed madras and given it to tamils and later we developed hyd and gave it to our brothers. Its time to show what we are , let us unite. City is already a congested one....and making it as capital will make it worse...City widening is not possible.
As the krishna,Guntur,East & West Godavari are famous for their fertile lands & productivity...making the cities in that region will destroy the fields in the name of development.
As Vizag & Vijayawada are big cities,there will be lots of slums.If they were made as capital,we will be having a capital without any special importance same as the capital of other states.We can develop ongole into small planned city(slum free,ecofriendly)which can become a special place in india without introducing any industries in the area which affects the environment.
It is btr not to repeat the mistake as we have previously done by concentrating all the development in the hyderabad itself. Let us develop all the cities in seemandhra,with very city having gud infra.
Anyhow making ongole as a capital won't hampen the other two cities development.As development in capital will take 10 more years ,those two cities will be hot destinations for all the investments.Lets not make them city with over population
