Why AIADMK and Jayalalitha should stay away from Congress

There are many reasons for AIADMK to go with Congress in the coming TamilNadu elections. AIADMK and Congress were natural allies during MGR rule. Congress had a good support among the same people who worshipped MGR. But now things have changed.

These are things Jayalalithaa should ponder before forming an alliance with Congress.

1. Congress's vote base has reduced from 24% to 15% (and in some areas below 7%)
2. No leaders in Congress has credibility in the state
3. General public is angry against both Central and State government

4. Sonia, Rahul and co losing their popular support .. they will not get votes (seen in Gujarat, Jharkannd and now WB elections)
5. Congress will be the gainer with AIADMK losing seats

also the entire nation which stood by Jayalalithaa for her brave remarks against Sonia will take her as opportunistic if she forms an alliance with Congress.

Jayalalithaa can either go with DMDK (Vijayakanth) or BJP or both

That will be good for her, her party, the state and the nation Digg Technorati Delicious StumbleUpon Reddit BlinkList Furl Mixx Facebook Google Bookmark Yahoo

Why Karunanidhi should move out of Politics

Whether Karunanidhi is a good for Tamils or not is not for me to debate. He is a leader with fifty years of political service and it is time for him to go.

The recent developments in his family proves that he is losing day-by-day to compassion, love and affection like anyother octogenarian and couldn't drive the country

The fast he did in Marina for Lankan Tamils was stopped abruptly due to Wives over-reaction on caretaking which was played out live in Media. Karuna has to stop it to avoid further embarassement.

Apart from that he is now dedicating more of his time for Film artistes rather in Secretariat

Mallika Sherawat's Topless Appearance
The functions are not without controversy also. Mallika Sherawat's Topless appearance at his function was a hit in the local newspapers

CBI, Sohrabuddin and Rahul bury Congress in Kathlal

What seems to be an easy win for Congress (kin of the Congress MP who had died contested the by-poll) which had never lost this seat at all became a nightmare when BJP candidate Kanubhai Dabhi won the seat by a comfortable margin of over 20,000 votes. He BJP bagged 62,120 votes against 40,573 votes of Ghelabhai Jhala (Congress)

The by-election followed the death of Congress legislator Gautam Zala, who represented the seat.

After the results were out there were murmurs in the Congress that Muslim appeasment policy will become their nemesis in future. Rahul are you hearing? Digg Technorati Delicious StumbleUpon Reddit BlinkList Furl Mixx Facebook Google Bookmark Yahoo

What will be the possible Alliance in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu has now become a cynosure for alliance politics. Congress, PMK, BJP et al. have joined hands with the primary parties DMK and AIADMK one time or other to win and lose elections.

This particular election has been based on two major critiera

1) Succession in DMK - Karunanidhi is old and clinging on to leave the CM seat to his son/daughter/grand son

2) Comeback by AIADMK - the recent trend shows a mammoth vote gain for AIADMK

With these two major parties deciding the election. It would be interesting to know where the junior partners will go

This is what is stacked today

DMK + (DMK, VCK)

AIADMK + (AIADMK, MDMK (Vaiko), CPI, CPI(M), Pudiya Tamilagam)

PMK - might go with the best

Congress - wait and watch

DMDK - Vijaykanth's political future depends on this election

BJP - no one to take - might go alone to win  a couple of seats

Who knows the mindset of Tamil people - hope the don;t change for few thousand rupees as they did in recent byelections Digg Technorati Delicious StumbleUpon Reddit BlinkList Furl Mixx Facebook Google Bookmark Yahoo

Manmohan Singh Threatens Barack Obama

In a fitting reply to his opponents and L.K Advani inparticular (he commented Manmohan as weak and coward Prime Minister), Manmohan Singh threatened US President Barack Obama with CBI

The message was clear - prosecute the Generals, Ex Vice President Dick Cheney  and George Bush for their crimes against Al Quaeda or face CBI        Enquiry

Obama smiled and told that since he is American and             has to protect fellow American's he can't behave like an Indian PM can do

YS JaganMohan Reddy to start new party

YS Jagan Reddy is all set to start new party. The name and other details are closely guarded. His mother, however, will remain as part of Congress party though she will tacitly support her son.

Jagan already had discussions with many leaders including NCP's Sharad Pawar, Gali Janardana Reddy and Karunakaran (Kerala Congress).

Though the Congress is puting up the brave face that his expulsion wouldn't affect, Sonia is more worried as losing a state like A.P will spell Congress's doom Digg Technorati Delicious StumbleUpon Reddit BlinkList Furl Mixx Facebook Google Bookmark Yahoo

Jagan odarpu yatra - Success or Failure?

Jagan odarpu yatra - Victory or Defeat?

Though Jagan reiterates that his Yatra is not a political one, many political heads are getting roled, re-aligned and sidelined as the yatra went on .

His Khammam yatra was a huge success, but the Yatra in Telangana became a kind of failure as his dare-develiry didn't work out. The main reason was that he preferred to use pastors Finally now he has started singing Sonia tune ... hmmm his days in Congress are coming to close if he has to live with Self-Esteem Digg Technorati Delicious StumbleUpon Reddit BlinkList Furl Mixx Facebook Google Bookmark Yahoo

Microsoft to Open Centre in Vizag?

Buoyed by the interest shown by IBM for investment in Vizag and the decision of Microsoft to depute a team to explore business opportunities, the software entrepreneurs have decided to showcase the business potential here so as to achieve a turnover of Rs.10,000 crore in next five to 10 years.

The IT and IT-Enabled Services (ITES), mostly in small and medium enterprises (SME) are hit hard due to recession. However, with the economy showing signs of recovery, the entrepreneurs are pinning high hopes that showcasing ‘Brand Vizag' will fetch good results.

The annual turnover of the industry in and around Visakhapatnam in the field of software is stated to be around Rs.900 crore. By inviting major, medium and small players to the city, it is hoped that the turnover would reach Rs.10,000-crore-mark in next few years.

Who killed YSR?

YSR Death Controversy

Congress activists and followers of late chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on Thursday night went on a rampage across Andhra Pradesh targeting the showrooms, offices and other properties of the Ambani brothers.

A number of Reliance Retail outlets in the state came under mob attack after section of the media alleged the role of the Ambani brothers in the sudden death of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in a chopper crash in September.

The question is why the Government not tabling the report? If it does it would put an end to the controversy! Digg Technorati Delicious StumbleUpon Reddit BlinkList Furl Mixx Facebook Google Bookmark Yahoo
