Lagadapati Rajagopal pitching for Chief Minister Post?
There are reports that Sonia has deputed Manishankar Iyer a senior diplomat turned politician to assure Lagadapati of a 'big' post, which some say might be of CM.
Rajagopal Lagadapati is a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India. He represents the Vijayawada constituency of Andhra Pradesh and is a member of the Indian National Congress. He is a technocrat-turned industrialist, is the Founder Chairman of LANCO Group. In addition to his entrepreneurial spirit, Rajagopal has a strong sense of social responsibility. He established LANCO Foundation (formerely LIGHT), a Charitable Trust, in the year 2000 to reach out to the needy and has been involved in various philanthropic activities. After one-and-a-half decades in the industry, Rajagopal chose to enter politics in 2003. He is a Member of Parliament, India.
What will be the capital of new Andhra Pradesh
There is a dog fight going on between the Vijaywada-Guntur leaders and Vizag leaders on choosing the capital of new andhra pradesh.
With no unity between Vijayawada and Guntur leaders, the Vijayawada-Guntur is pitching for any capital other than Vizag ... most probably that is the reason they want Hyderabad to be as capital of Andra too
On the other hand, the Vizag lobby wants Vishakapatnam to be the capital of the parent state. Vizag, they feel, has all the credit to be the capital

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Post - Rossiah Gains Support
Believe it or not, the popularity of the son of the most beloved CM of Andhra, Shri YS Rajashekar reddy, Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy is dipping rapidly for CM post even as his coterie threaten to resign their seats etc.
On the other hand, Rossiah has become a better choice of the people now than when the poll was conducted on Sep 2009 (immediately after YSR's death)
This might be because of too tough posturing by the congress leaders, in particular, KVP ignoring the plight of common man.

Why should Telugus obey Italians ????
Even if YS Jagan is a better candidate, why is Kaka, Hanumanth Rao, Keshava Rao oppose Jagan? Is it because he opposes Telangana. If this is case is he getting good support in Guntur and Vijaywada just because he opposes the formation of Telangana
If opposing Jagan is an insult to Telugu pride will it not be an insult to Telangana pride if someone supports him?
Who is this KVP who is getting this much credit? Was YSR a 'Rabri Devi' for these Six years. why is KVP trying to belittle the former Chief Minister? If he is that much good in administration why the state is in indebted stage? Why has Maytas and Satyam failed? Was it because of YSR or because of KVP?
Why is the 'loyal' Konijetti Rosaiah not supporting Jagan? Is he a disciplined party worker or now a contender for CM post?
Why a state with 292 MLAs and 42 MPs not able to project atlease 10 contenders for CM post???
Why Sonia and Rahul who were not in picture in Assembly Elections now intersted in Andrha politics ????
Why Telugus who were the only one who voted for Indira Gandhi after Emergency be humiliated by foreign lady and her son?
Why should Indians obey Italians ???? Why should Telugus obey Italians ????
Who is Sonia to force the state to accept a Chief Minister of her choice? What happened to 'atma gauravam' of Congress. Even if Jagan is made as CM, people won't support unless Jagan comes out of Congress!
End Congress rule in Andhra .. End Humiliation to Telugus!!! Bharat Mata ki Jai

Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2009 - Predictions - Opinion Polls
Maharashtra is headed for Hung Assembly once again with both political combinations inches away from power.
MNS will spoil chances of both Congress and Shiv Sena as some of the main contestants in fray from MNS are in strongholds of Shiv Sena (Thane region) and Congress (Marathwada). apart from this Raj Thackeray cannot achieve anything in this elections moving him closer to isolation
Party | Position in 2004 | Predicted Position in 2009 |
BJP | 56 | 70 |
Shiv Sena | 62 | 45 |
Congress | 69 | 52 |
NCP | 71 | 68 |
MNS | 0 | 15 |
CPI (M) | 3 | 3 |
Others | 27 | 35 |
Marathis still support Congress in large numbers even after one of the worst rule in their state. If this turns out well in election, one might again find a Congress Chief Minister in 'aamchi' Mumbai

Who should be next Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh
The most beloved Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in recent times – Dr YSR died in a tragic accident. The most possible contenders for the top post now are
Jagan Mohan Reddy (son-of YSR)
K Rossiah (Finance minister)
Jaipal Reddy (Union minister)
Daggubatti Purandeshwari (Union minister)
Sabitha Indra Reddy (Home minister)
Who will be the choice of Rahul and Sonia? The state citizens are keeping their fingers crossed. They have decided to make YSR as Chief Minister now fate has made the Gandhi family to impose their candidate on Andhra.
Jagan looks an obvious choice for next Andhra Chief Minister. People voted for Congress for his father and not for the party! He should be the heir-apparent.
The other factors that Congress might look at is Telangana – this was an irritation for Congress. Will they propose a CM from Telangana.
Yet D. Purandeshwari could be a Smart choice! She has won over many as a union minister. She could easily become a wise CM

Who will win Maharashtra Assembly elections 2009?
Who is Ruling Hyderabad - YSR or Owaisi?
In reality, YSR has no control over Hyderabad. MIM dikat is important here. Hardly a month has passed since the new assembly has formed, MIM has shown its signs in the city
1. DGP Mohanty - a honest and brave commissioner was transferred
2. Terrorist haven in old city - for the second time, dreaded terrorist, Vicarudin was let off after he shot dead two constables
3. Congress 'allocates' huge quota for MIM candidates in coming local body polls...
No wonder did YSR tapped on his thigh and swirled his moustache outside Hyderabad. Had he done that in Hyderabad, he would have been asked to apologise by the high command and 'youth' leader

Court cracks down on YSR's Muslim Appeasement
The Supreme Court has ruled that the government cannot release a convict on considerations of religion, caste or political loyalties as the same had to be done keeping in view public interest and society.
"While exercising such power (to release), relevant facts necessitating the commutation and the interest of the society and public interest must be reflected and well established.
"The exercise of any power vested by the statute in a public authority is to be always viewed as in trust coupled with a duty to exercise the same in the larger public interest and social interest," a Bench of Justices S. B. Sinha and Mukundakam Sharma observed.
The Apex court passed the ruling while setting aside a release order passed by Andhra Pradesh government in favour of an Islamic scholar S. Kazam Pasha who was convicted and sentenced to two years imprisonment in a criminal case in Hyderabad.
The State had released him by imposing a mere fine of Rs. 5,000 on the ground that he was a "qualified Islamic scholar", had worked for communal harmony in the city, was part of the local peace committees and was suffering from various ailments.

Is Racist Australia safe place for Education?
Some of the communities are flagging slogans - Boycott Australia - to voice their anger and disappointment.
"Even the Australian police are biased. We are scared of going to them. Look what happened yesterday, peaceful protesters were violently attacked by the police. If this does not stop, soon Asians will boycott Australia," said Adnan Khusro, a student studying in Melbourne.
According to Reuters a poll in Australia found that "Three-quarters of Australians believe their country is racist and nearly 60 percent believe racial violence at beaches in Sydney has damaged the country's international reputation, an opinion poll showed on Tuesday.
Is it Still Safe to Study in Australia?
Remove Australians from IPL: Thackeray
"Two things should be done immediately. Captains of Australian companies who have invested in India should be summoned and told that the business atmosphere would not be conducive till the attacks stopped," Thackeray said in an editorial in party mouthpiece `Saamana'.
"Secondly, Australian players in IPL teams should be removed. Team owners like Vijay Mallya, Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta should display nationalism by doing so," the Sena chief said.
"No matter how big an Aussie player in IPL team is, he should removed and told that it is impossible to keep him in the team till the blood of innocent Indians is shed on his country's soil," Thackeray said.
He also lauded actor and friend Amitabh Bachchan for spurning an award by the University of Queensland to register his protest over the issue.
"What Amitabh did was right. He did not stop at registering his protest through mere words but conveyed to the University of Queensland that the attacks against Indians Down Under was an insult of all his countrymen," Thackeray said.
