Congress reduced to third place in Krishna, Prakasam and Guntur

Krishna, Prakasam and Guntur, a TDP stronghold surprised many by electing Congress legislators in 2004 Assembly Elections.

These districts are bound to give surprises again - but this time for the Congress party. The arrival of Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajyam has tilted the cards against YSR government.

Two-thirds of a particular community which has been with the Congress all these years in these districts now have switched over their loyalties to the PRP for being treadted as mere vote bank by the Congress party.

The Congress is reduced to third place in many of the constituencies in these districts

For example a community which has 32,000 votes in Kovvuru segment in West Godavari district have decided to support PRP this time. They were earlier staunch supporters of Congress and the fight used to be mainly between Congress and Telugu Desam.

This is going to deeply affect the predictions of 236 assembly seats expected by the Chief Minister YSR. Digg Technorati Delicious StumbleUpon Reddit BlinkList Furl Mixx Facebook Google Bookmark Yahoo

  3. Stop all biased guess work. See the face of Yerran Naidu, right hand of Babu, who cann`t hide his fellings. TDP has already lost the mandate. Congress has won.

  4. Where is TDP. Reduced to 3rd place in many segments. Even in Kuppam it is sweating out.Forget about it. In five years time, Andhra Pradesh is inching towards number one spot in terms of development in the country under the stewardship of great YSR.

  5. See NDTV forecast of Lok Sabha seats for Andhra Pradesh after polls. Congress - 28, Mahakootami - 13, PRP - 1. Before elections it was 24 for congress. It predicted that PRP ate into TDP vote bank more than that of Congress.

  6. NO- IAM OF THE OPINION THAT IT IS CONGRESS WHICH WILL SUFFER MOST BY HUGE TURNOUT OF KAPU VOTERS IN THESE DISTRICTS IN SECOND PHASE. THE FIGHT IS IN BETWEEN T.D.P. AND P.R.P. IN MOST OF THESE CONSTITUENCIES. WAIT UPTO 16TH MAY TO SEE YOUSELF AND THEN REMEMBER HOW ACCURATE I WAS IN PREDICTING
