Congress popularity is waning in Andhra – second phase poll crucial

Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party is making steady progress in rural Andhra. Perhaps, it may even play a spoiler role to Congress party, which was quite opposite to the general perception. Most of the traditional congress voters are moving towards PRP.

On the other hand, the MahaKuttami of TDP, TRS and Communists are rising marginally. It remains to be seen if the part would get enough support to increase the tally of seats.

BJP is the third front in the state. It is not making any progress in Kosta and Rayalaseema and its support is declining. However, it is gaining a good hold in Telangana region. There are chances that the party might get some handful of MLAs from Telangana region. As far as loksabha is concerned, it might try hard for Malkajgiri, Karimnagar seats.

As of now, it is still certain that Shri Y.S. Rajashekara Reddy might come for the second term, unless some good candidate selection of PRP and Mahakuttami swings to their favour

Andhra Pradesh Assembly 2009 - Seats Prediction (As on March 01- 2009)
Congress = 155-170 seats
TDP/TRS+ = 80-100 seats
PRP = 20-30 seats
BJP = 5- 8 seats

  5. UPA will not exist after elections. NCP, DMK, RJD will join together to form the third front. I think it is better to vote either for Congress or BJP instead of clumsy regional parties

  6. Congress is afraid of YSR than opposition parties. He is a mighty force in Congress! Jai YSR! Jai Andhra!
